Happy Birthday Vera Basil! A gift guide and giveaway in honor of the birthday girl!

You guys! Vera's Birthday is today! I can't believe it's already been two years since she was born.  I've been busy planning her party and am so excited for her Blue Airplane Party!  I promise to post lots of photos of it after this weekend.  Until then I thought I'd share a few of my favorite gift ideas {and a link to an epic giveaway on my instagram @hawksandhoney}.  Here's are some gift ideas I think would be perfect for not only girls {but most of the items for boys too!}...

Let's start top left clockwise:
This You Make Me Coconuts Tee by Little Banditos Modern Threads is the wittiest summer themed shirts I've seen around this season, and I must have it for my kiddos!

Also loving this Llama-ste Print from Free Range Apparel and the tee to match, you know me and my yoga self, it's perfect to add to play room to keep the calm vibe, plus our family could definitely use the calm vibes, especially during birthday party prep week!

I also really like these West of Wonderland  #hearthero or #flashhero either one, boy or girl could totally rock either.  Sonja loves batman and superheros and I feel like having the girls both wearing one of each would be adorable, or their I'll Hide \ You Seek set.  I don't love having my kids match but I do love having them coordinate!

Sonja loves this Lion Tee from Indie Nook. She already has the baseball tee but I bet Vera would love running around in this new orange color.

Every toddler needs a pair of soft soled tiny Moccasins, these ones from Freshly Picked are my favorite and I'm in love with Neon this season, so of course I picked this "green" color for her.  She may or may not have already started wearing them {and I may or may not have acquired the neon green matching carryall}.

To go with those new Moccasins I made her and Sonja a set of matching Dino tees.  Give me all the neon baseball tees!

And if you know anything about my apparel you know I love donuts! I love artist Alisha Johns' interpretation with this blue donut print, it would definitely match my newest leggings and it matches the girls' room {that's right I painted my daughters' room blue/teal and gray}.

This Bellapia Designs' little girls pencil skirt with stripes is probably my favorite, am I too old to get one in my size?!  All of her pieces are the prettiest patterns and mix of color. I can just picture tiny Vera and Sonja in a coordinating set!  And now she's making swimwear?! swoon!

Eco Dry Highlighters  from the Stubby Pencil Studio are perfect for toddlers, no markers on the walls {or in our case dining room table chairs} and no plastic coloring tools {like those crayola "pencil" ones}, plus I can sneak them when they go to work with me to avoid the non-recyclable traditional highlighters because #waronplastic!

Above those are this bib set from B.Belle Couture.  I love love love getting my girls adorable outfits for their birthday but more than that, I love a good cake smash and this would totally help clean up the mess plus they're so vibrant, they're fun and practical for any other meal too.

Finally, I heart Sighfoo! when I was pregnant with Sonja I was crazy about what toys people could buy my kid, I was adamant about no plastic, none, it totally freaks me out when kids are playing with plastic, so when I found sighfoo on etsy and it's local I made strict demands that this be the only stuffed animal acceptable for my baby.  Isn't this the sweetest upcycled bunny you've ever seen?

And that's my toddler gift guide! As I finish typing this list with all my gift ideas for my toddler's birthday, I realize there are just a few minutes left before her birthday, tomorrow {or today when you're reading this} she'll be two whole years old! I'm so excited to see what happens with our family this year, who she develops into more and what activities we can start doing now that she's getting bigger. I'm looking forward to celebrating with her this weekend!  OH! and speaking of celebrating, I'm hosting that giveaway on my instagram @hawksandhoney with a bunch of other local and small businesses, many of whom are pictured above. So if you're interested, head over there to find the details on how to enter to win! and since I'm feeling extra generous, go ahead and comment below with your email address and "Join this site" with google friend connect for a chance to win $25 shop credit to my store!
