All the Lemon.

Our Lemon tree is out of control.  Just this past weekend, I sent the kiddos out back to pick them. you know what they say, 'when life hands you lemons, pick them before the roof rats show up.'

So. maybe they don't say that but it's a real thing, we have to be super proactive in picking the lemons to avoid unwanted critters. It's cool though, we make lemonade and lemon cake and lemon cocktails and whatever else I can think of.

It's fine, the kids have a blast hunting for lemons and picking them, we bring them in and juice them. Sometimes I'll save the rinds to infuse into vinegar for cleaning, but other times I'll just compost them (you can't compost the whole fruit as the citrus juice will throw off any microbes in your compost but you can compost the skin after juicing).
