Bergamot Essential Oil Uses and Benefits

Bergamot is a citrus oil with a light floral scent.

It is unique because of it's uplifting and calming properties. These properties make it ideal to help ease anxious or sad feelings.

I've been working on feeling calm and stress-free by diffusing doTERRA Bergamot essential oil. This delicate citrus plant was used by the Italians for years to reduce feelings of stress and to soothe and rejuvenate skin. You can apply one to two drops in your daily skin care routine or apply to skin in the shower to enjoy its purifying benefits.

While other citrus oils are stimulating and invigorating, Bergamot is unique because it reduces tension and stress

I love to use bergamot aromatically and topically to enjoy the calming benefits of Bergamot essential oil. I combine it with Fractionated coconut oil to give my partner a purifying and serene back massage. Or I'll apply a couple of drops of doTERRA Bergamot to my feet before bed and enjoy the relaxing benefits before drifting off to sleep. If you use Bergamot oil topically, make sure to avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product. Bergamot oil also has cleansing properties. Add it to your nighttime skincare routine to reduce the appearance of blemishes and rejuvenate the skin.
