Vetiver Essential Oil Uses

Vetiver essential oil is ideal for massage therapy and calming routine before going to sleep.
I recently had a friend struggling with sleep.  I think at this time we're all struggling with our emotions and they tend to surface at bed time.  Instead of giving our bodies the rest it needs we end up staying up over thinking and feeling restless.  So, I gave her a half bottle of Vetiver to try.  She told me that, "...it takes me right to a happy place, My eyes started getting heavy about 15 minutes after I put it on." I love that this is my job, sharing things that might help people is extremely rewarding.  If you're struggling with relaxing before bed maybe consider your options and reach out if you're interested in trying an alternative to other options.  Below you'll find lots of information I've taken from doterra's website along with additional info about Vetiver...
Vetiver is a member of the grass family, is grown for many reasons. Unlike other grasses, the root system of Vetiver grows down, making it ideal for helping to prevent erosion and providing soil stabilization. Vetiver has a rich, exotic, complex aroma that is used extensively in perfumes. Due to Vetiver’s calming and grounding aroma, it is an ideal oil to use in massage therapy. It can also be rubbed on the feet before bedtime to prepare for a restful night’s sleep.
Uses
  • Use as a massage oil.
  • Take a warm bath with a few drops of Vetiver essential oil for deep relaxation.
  • Diffuse with Lavender, doTERRA Serenity®, or doTERRA Balance®.

  • Use a toothpick to help get the desired amount out of container if Vetiver is too thick to get out of the bottle. A little goes a long way. Sometimes the oils made from resin or roots can clump or thicken at the dropper site, it's best to use these oils right away in recipes to get the most liquid goodness out of the bottles before they solidify at the cap, of course, you can always remove the cap to get to more liquid oil if this happens as well.
