Alchemy Flowerlounge with Lotuswei

This past week, I attended a lovely flowerlounge experience with lotuswei with ac and upon arrival we were welcomed with open arms and anointed with African Daisy essence when we walked in.  Activating Playfulness and sending a clear message of silliness.  Breaking that awkward tension of walking into a room with like minded people yet not knowing anyone.

The theme of this flowerlounge experience was to transform our world from the inside out, inspired by stories of alchemy from the past, and experiencing flower essences in various forms to feel connected to those around us and transform into something more just within a short evening together.

The experience was part meditation, part connection to those around us with conversation starters and amazing food and drinks.  Each mocktail was infused with love and elixirs, each one creating a new tactile experience with unique flavors and essences and each one slightly more beautiful than the one before.
The food was simple yet elegant and nourishing, each table also had a set of flower evolution cards to explore.  And I actually purchased the accompanying book that evening; Flower evolution with images by Louie Schwartzberg because there's just so much info about each flower.
Each section of the evening had a unique title, this was 'Eat the sky.'  We drank dewdrops off orchids and sunk into compassion  misted with red rose to activate tenderness and nurture ourselves.
For Transformation of Human Beingness we catalyzed an alchemical reaction.  The drink was Grapefruit and Rose nectar garnished with dried rose buds, we added 5 drops of elixir featuring the Western Prairie Fringed Orchid to activate electric communication and tap into the collective.  We shared stories with our tables and honored each persons unique experience.
my friend brought her nursing babe with her and he enjoyed some flower goodness with us all.
we added pea tea to create the most beautiful ultra violet contrast in our grapefruit drinks.
Next up was Perceive the Interconnectedness featuring a match mint glow to drink, purifying patterns and sparking insights.  The flower essence featured here was Pink Torch Ginger; activating interconnectedness and purifying old patterns.  This drink made we want to invite all my friends over for tea and light limes on fire and spark up conversations with all of them.
For the last drink of the night we made a Smoked Sacred Cider to Light Up.  The intention was to make a smoke offering toast, featuring Silky Fringe Flower Elixir to conjure up directness and say it like it is.  We burned palo santo into our cups before filling them with apple cider and ice.
We ended the night with mists of Giant Spider Lily essence to Free our Hearts through dedicating the magic and walking out transformed.  I think we did all leave a bit more light hearted and with a free mind.

LOTUSWEI Love

Have you head of flower essence?  I hadn't until this last year, 2018.  But since then, I've been really exploring the experience of flower essence these past couple months thanks to my midwife Rachel who introduced me to flower essence last summer in the midst of my heartbreaking pregnancy and miscarriage.  Imagine my utter excitement when I found out LOTUSWEI was acquiring a new building just mere blocks away from my house.  LOTUSWEI was founded by Katie Huss a flower alchemist and brilliant entrepreneur.  Her magic comes through not only in her flower elixirs but also in her podcast the Flower Lounge.   This past month they hosted a flower lounge gathering in real life featuring their full apothecary, flower everything, nourishment and flower cards.
When I arrived I was totally overwhelmed and frustrated and felt guilty for even going, I was in a weird head space and being greeted with flowers on the temple-esque facade of the building, I almost broke down into tears who put all these flowers here for me?  It was such a magical feeling.

I loved the small paper tokens of mantras and reminders sitting on the handmade wood tables,  The feminine energy enveloping the room and the flower revolution cards, with gentle guidance and suggestions for whatever we were attracted to,
Nourishment provided by Lauren Brooks Life.  It was the first time I tried a raw prickly pear.
And if that wasn't decadent enough there was a full cheese and meats board.
And native foods.
I took full advantage of the 'unlock your full potential spread offered by this deck.
1. Play
2. Health
3. Money
4. Work
5. Family
6. Love
7. Catalyst

clockwise from top around to middle.
1. Play received Bee Balm, sending messages of Hope and Be Still.
2. Health received Pink Lotus with Divine Wisdom and advice to look within.
3. Money was the Bodhi Tree and Boundless Love.  True Love it is unconditional.
4. Work was one of my favorite flowers; passion flower which told me to rest more  and suggested healing sleep.
5. Family was Jade Succulent inspiring me to Be Present and Go for it.
6. Love became Hollyhock suggesting Softness of Character and reminding me that soft is transformative.
7. Catalyst which feels big that thing that creates change was Banana Blossom activating a spacious mind and reminding me to slow down a little.

And all of this enjoyed and explored with some of my favorite and empowering women.

Once at home I focused on my inner peace elixir and holiday peace essential oils diffusing all winter break, I rested, I restored, I feel so inspired to create again.  I can't wait for more events and experiences hosted and presented by Lotus Wei!

Obsessed with This New Local Inspired Wallpaper!

"A great reporter gets to the heart of the story. A great designer gets to the heart of the person. The pathway to both is the same: asking so many questions, doing careful research, and noticing every detail." -Jamie Rose

One of my favorite local companies Scout and Briar just posted her styled images by Isaac Bailey and I feel in love with the wall paper right away!

Jaimee Rose Interiors recently unrolled her "Arcadia" Wallpaper featuring charming, hand-drawn illustrations of local landmarks from Phoenix's Arcadia neighborhood - with Gilbert and Central Phoenix versions coming soon.

Can absolutely not wait to see the Central Phoenix one and find a space to incorporate it into our home! Thinking laundry room or guest bath. Where would you choose?

The Arcadia-based interior design firm Jaimee Rose Interiors announces its first-ever line of stylish, custom wallpaper featuring the local businesses and icons that make our Arizona neighborhoods feel like home. Designed by principal Jaimee Rose and local artist Amy Crist, the first offering of wallpaper is a charming salute to Rose's own neighborhood of Arcadia and features stylized illustrations of local landmarks and icons.

On the list: Postino WineCafé, the Tee Pee Tap Room, and Tarbell's restaurant, of course. There's a bicycle, a nod to Arcadia High School, and a rendering of that secret owl sign that beckons revelers to The Little Woody after hours.

Also featured: The VillageThe HenryCamelback Flowershop, and Camelback Mountain itself. Rose even included a flamingo pool float and a Champagne bucket, for extra fun. The paper was lovingly illustrated by Crist, a native Arizonan, is available on four striking color backgrounds (white, black, gray and navy blue), and is available at jaimeerose.com.

"I believe in homes that feel personal," says Rose. "I also believe in local love. I started thinking about all the places we see each other, the places we meet up, the local business owners we support and have an emotional connection to. They're the background of our life. We celebrate birthdays at The Henry. We survive Mondays by meeting friends for bruschetta at Postino. I wanted to spin all these moments and memories into something that can also be the background of our homes - in a very cheeky and fun way, of course."
