Nine Months Old.

I don't know about you but there is something significant about this 9 month mark for me.  Maybe it's because this is about the time that Cupcake has been outside of my body longer than she was in it, or maybe it's the fact that she had a personality breakthrough this week.  Or maybe, it's because she's so damn cute.  Either way, I thought I'd make a list {surprised?} of all her accomplishments/milestones/characteristics.

1. Her excited face.  If you know this baby in real life, you know exactly what I'm talking about.  If you don't, here is an example of a few people we know mimicking it for you all:

2. Screaming and Squealing.  She does both. Often.  Her scream is endearing and not harsh or heart dropping. It's playful and wonderful and I can't get enough of it.

3. Potty Time.  She has lately been refusing to pee in the toilet.  Thankfully, she's still pooping in it though!  EVERY TIME I take her to pee she fusses and squirms, then AS SOON as I set her down, she pees. Oh well, wiping up tile is still easier than changing a bunch of diapers...

4. Back Door.  One of Cupcake's favorite things to do is let the dogs out back.  When we approach the door she smacks my chest and starts laughing.  This past week she realized she could crawl and walk to the back door hallway by herself and I've found her creeping around the corner numerous times.

5. Throwing.  This is a new milestone.  She has discovered throwing blocks is fun.  She has a wooden ball she likes to throw, unfortunately, when it bounces it smacks her in the face and leaves a mark.  She has received several bruises from this action.

6. Eating.
She loves so many diverse foods, it amazes me!  I let her try Quinoa this past week and she loves it.  It was in a Spanish rice/quinoa dish and she couldn't get enough of it.  She also loves guacamole, hummus and whipped cream (I know!  but I made some from scratch and she lunged and got a taste, oh well).

7. Clothing.  I was shocked to see Little Miss trying to rip her shirt off this week.  Once I realized she didn't want it on {we do a LOT of naked time, and by "we" I mean her} I took it off and she was content.

8. Dancing.  Every time she hears a beat, she puts her arms up and starts bouncing.  Super cute and super fun.  If I turn pandora on, she freezes and listens, then immediately starts dancing. I've downloaded over 20 Glee covers and we {by "we" I mean me} sing along in the car.

9.  "What?!"  Her little hands and arms have become forms of communication and she does "what?" arms all the time.  She's mocking me and it's adorable!  The what?! arms have also become a part of her walk, and she looks like a baby T-Rex walking around with her little arms poking out.

10. On the 18th {of June} we were taking photos all day at Midwives Rising.  She discovered the stairs there and proceeded to climb to the middle of the staircase before I got tired of back spotting her and nabbed her up.  I Can't even imagine if I didn't have such a close eye on that girl, she's way too mobile for a nine month old.

I think 10 is a nice even number to stop at, I can't believe how much she's changed in the past few weeks let alone months.  Thanks for taking the time to read about my Little Luv Bug.  Happy Friday!
