Hissyfits' Hullabaloo is one of my favorite local events! I started shopping at Hissyfits when I found out I was pregnant with my first daughter and have gone to this event every year since then, I love all the handmade toys, clothes and art. Since I started selling my own items, I was excited to vend the event myself. My friend, Michelle, from Funk Off also makes amazing items and we've since phx flea became vending buddies, sharing tent or booth space at events when possible. It's great to share a space with someone so energetic and fun. It doesn't feel like work! The other benefit of sharing a space is that if I want to walk around we can take turns watching the merch. hence, how I was able to take so many photos from the event {well, that and the fact my sister, Brittany, also grabbed my camera and took some photos of her favorite items and shops, Thanks Britt!} Anyway, enough rambling, here's a look at the vendors in no particular order...
I'll start with my friend, Michelle, her jewelry is amazing and she does custom stamping on metal along with beaded pieces and you can find her stuff here. She also makes the BEST soap, Funk Off Brand, and I'm not joking when I say I buy boxes at a time!
My half of our booth, and you can find my shop here.
this pillow made me laugh out loud and that warrior one is totally inspirational, and something I need reminding of! I really love all the pillows from Joshua by Oak
and yeah, carpe the hell of out this diem, I can get into that! from Thoughts and Blocks
Bella and Bruiser is always a favorite, I love the fabric combinations and little dresses and rompers.
These tiny baby hats are the sweetest by Unravel Me Designs
I LOVE her fox knit {above the "a"} and this boobie nursing cap {if I wasn't already gifted one I would have totally splurged on it}
Rescued Rumps had all sorts of adorable leggings, clever tees and super helpful vendor, great talking with Janelle! One of the things I love most about vending local events is walking around talking to the other owners, they are so helpful and willing to share important product info!
Junk in the Trunk is another local event on my goal list, they make vintage inspired apparel as well and I'm excited to splurge on a shirt in the near future.
Free Range Apparel has two of the sweetest owners I've met, see those capes they're standing next to? on my wish list for my kids this winter, they're a must have!
Our booth was set up next to Pockets with Posies,
SpoonsenForksen had some pretty amazing spoon rings.
and these elephant and octopus necklaces from forks are pretty impressive too!
As usual Keri Mosier of Mer*Made Jewelry is hard at work making beautiful wearables! must invest in some new bangles or rings ASAP! I love the raw feel her pieces have.
These hand painted artworks on little pendants and cards are too cute from Goomies' World, perfect for thank you cards.
and everyday fashion
gimme that pirate octopus!
This rockabilly and vintage horror film dress from Dollface Bettys is pretty epic, and I found a perfect dress for Sonja to wear in Hawaii!
speaking of what I found sonja to wear, here's a glimpse at what Grandma bought for the girls...
from left to right; b. belle couture dresses {red and back}, dollface bettys pin up dress, le petite pizzazz, mama's cold brew organic creamer {I won from their instagram, but probably would have bought anyway}, cardigans and snack bags from HustleMama, and soaps and jewelry from Funk Off.
and I didn't get a photo, but I did find barberry and lace's website and pinned all the things. I love her shark-tooth necklace and simple stud earrings, added them to my birthday wishlist so hopefully, Husband or someone finds them!
are you a phoenix local? if so I highly suggest this event for any gift giving, so many adorable options for baby shower gifts, kids and home decor too. It's always good turn out and of course my mom stocks up for Christmas gifts for the girls, which I'm really greatful for. Plus this year, I was able to trade a few items for cool things, which is always great as a vendor. I usually end up walking around and shopping but this time, since I was able to trade {which p.s. I'm all about!} I walked away with more than usual, which is super rewarding after preparing for this event for the past few weeks. Thanks for reading along, hope you find awesome events in your area, and if you know of any local phoenix events comment below! I'm always looking for more opportunities to vend, collaborate and occasionally shop.
Thank you for including me in your roundup! :)
